1568. Deputy Michael Healy-Rae asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine the status of farm payments in respect of a person (details supplied); and if he will make a statement on the matter. [25637/16]

Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine

The persons named have submitted a 2016 Transfer of Entitlements application to my Department seeking the transfer of entitlements by gift from the first named person to the second named person. This application is currently being processed and when completed both parties will be advised in writing. Payment under the 2016 Basic Payment Scheme will issue to the second person named if otherwise eligible for the Scheme.
