533. Deputy Charlie McConalogue asked the Minister for Education and Skills the status of a new building for a school (details supplied) in County Donegal; when construction will commence and be completed; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [26335/16]
View answerAs the Deputy is aware, the project for the school referred to, is included in my Department's 6 Year Construction Programme.
In that regard, officials in my Department are working with officials from Donegal County Council under the MOU in relation to the acquisition process for a suitable permanent site for the schools to which the Deputy refers.
The acquisition of such a site is currently being progressed. Given the commercial sensitivities associated with land acquisitions generally, I am not in a position to comment further at this time.
