371. Deputy Pat Breen asked the Minister for Social Protection when an application will be processed in respect of a person (details supplied); and if he will make a statement on the matter. [26506/16]

Minister of State at the Department of Social Protection

I confirm that the department is in receipt of an application for disability allowance from the above named person. On 17 September 2016 the person concerned was requested to supply supporting documentation in order to finalise the claim. On receipt of this information a decision will be made and the person concerned will be notified directly in writing of the outcome.

I hope this clarifies the matter for the Deputy.
