143. Deputy Michael Healy-Rae asked the Minister for Finance if assistance can be provided to the heritage centre in Knightstown, Valentia, County Kerry, with regard to an issue (details supplied); and if he will make a statement on the matter. [28500/16]
View answerThis question is more a matter for the Department of Public Expenditure and Reform. However, it would appear from the question that the previous company operating the Heritage Centre in Knightstown, Valentia, Co. Kerry was struck off the Companies Register by the Companies Registration Authority for failure to file accounts. If this company was dissolved more than 12 months ago, then it would appear that in order to access the accounts of that company it would be necessary to apply to the High Court within 20 years of the dissolution of the company to seek to have the company restored to the Companies Register. Such application is to be on notice to the Registrar of Companies, the Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform and the Revenue Commissioners.
