201. Deputy Róisín Shortall asked the Minister for Health if he will report on recent shortages with the supply of gabapentin; the reason this occurred; and the steps he will take to prevent a recurrence. [28950/16]

The Health Products Regulatory Authority (the regulator for medicines in Ireland) and the Health Service Executive have indicated that they are not aware of a recent or current shortage of medicines containing gabapentin.
