230. Deputy Jim Daly asked the Minister for Health if a use it or lose it by year end rule is or has been in operation within his Department when devolving funding to agencies under his remit on an annual basis; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [29198/16]

In line with Government Accounting Procedures all agencies which come under the remit of my Department are funded up to the approved level of their agreed allocation for that particular year or their actual expenditure, whichever is the lesser.
