121. Deputy Eamon Ryan asked the Minister for Education and Skills if his attention has been drawn to the fact that the pedestrian lights facilitating pupils getting to and from a school (details supplied) have still not been turned on; his views that this is a significant safety hazard for pupils; and if he will make a statement on the matter. My Department has been made aware of the issue with regard to the pedestrian lights located at the school to which the Deputy refers. My Department understands that there is a computer fault with the pedestrian lights which is currently being addressed and the matter is expected to be resolved in the coming days.
