Deputy Eugene Murphy asked the Minister for Health if the seven-point home care criteria (details supplied) are standard criteria throughout the country or unique to County Roscommon; the reason the issue of being in receipt of carer's allowance is not included as being a factor in assessment despite the fact that this seems to have been an issue in so many persons losing home care hours in County Roscommon; the reason cognitive ability is not assessed as part of the home care criteria when it is obviously a major factor in determining a person's vulnerability and dependence; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
