Deputy Clare Daly asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine the number of individual greyhounds available for racing on the racing management system in the periods July to December 2014, January to December 2015 and January to August 2016; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Bord na gCon is a commercial State body, established in 1958 under the Greyhound Industry Act, 1958, chiefly to control greyhound racing and to improve and develop the greyhound industry.

The information requested by the Deputy is an operational matter for Bord na gCon.
