293. Deputy Tom Neville asked the Minister for Social Protection when arrears will be paid in respect of an invalidity pension in the case of a person (details supplied); and if he will make a statement on the matter. [31457/16]
View answerThe lady referred to has been awarded invalidity pension with effect from the 8 September 2016 and the first payment issued to her nominated bank account on the 13 October 2016. Arrears due from 8 September 2016 to 12 October 2016 (less any overlapping social welfare payment and/or outstanding overpayment) issued to her nominated bank account on the 20 October 2016.
I hope this clarifies the matter for the Deputy.
