Deputy Anne Rabbitte asked the Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform the cost of creating a new entrance to the archaeology museum from the office of the Leader of Seanad Éireann while works are being carried out on Seanad Éireann; and if he will make a statement on the matter. To date, no monies have been expended on the temporary link between Leinster House and the National Museum of Ireland. The estimated cost of providing this link forms part of the overall cost of the required works to temporarily accommodate the Seanad Éireann chamber within the Museum. The total estimated cost of the works is €1.7M.
