Deputy Sean Fleming asked the Minister for Housing, Planning, Community and Local Government further to Parliamentary Question No. 611 of 16 September 2016, the number of the 1,170,226 vehicles taxed on the basis of engine capacity, that is, pre-2008 cars, where the engine capacity is greater than 1,200 cc and less than 1,200 cc; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The reply to Question No 611 of 16 September 2016 reflects the position at 31 December 2015, but as the numbers in the engine capacity fleet are decreasing month on month, an additional column with the numbers taxed as at 30 September 2016 is also included.
