Deputy Pearse Doherty asked the Minister for Health if he will clarify that it is HSE policy that it is the responsibility of individual home help workers to secure cover during periods of planned annual leave; if workers are prevented from taking planned leave should they be unable to find suitable cover; the role the employer takes to source cover during such periods; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
