Deputy Thomas Byrne asked the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport his plans to move Gormanston train station in County Meath into the same zone which is currently in the medium hop zone in view of Sallins, Naas, and Kilcock train stations being moved into the short hop zone; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The issue raised is a matter for the National Transport Authority (NTA) in conjunction with Iarnród Éireann and I have forwarded the Deputy's question to the NTA for direct reply.  Please advise my private office if you do not receive a response within ten working days.
