106. Deputy Tom Neville asked the Minister for Social Protection the status of an application for a domiciliary care allowance in respect of a person (details supplied); and if he will make a statement on the matter. [37899/16]
View answerThis lady was notified on the 28th November 2016 that her domiciliary care allowance has been backdated on appeal, by 6 months, to 1st June 2015. Arrears due for this period will issue with her December payment, on the 20th December 2016. As a result of the backdating decision, the 2015 Carers Support Grant is now also payable and this payment will issue on the 8th December 2016.
I hope this clarifies the matter for the Deputy.
