68. Deputy Clare Daly asked the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport further to Parliamentary Question No. 22 of 2 November 2016, if he will provide an update on the legislation which he reported was being prepared by his Department to give effect to EU Reg 598/2014. [38673/16]
View answerOfficials in my Department continue to have regular liaison and discussions with the Attorney General's Office in relation to the drafting of the Statutory Instrument to implement Regulation 598/14 in relation to airport noise management. I envisage the drafting will be finalised by the end of the year or early in the new year. I have offered to present my plans for the Statutory Instrument to the Joint Oireachtas Committee on Transport, Tourism and Sport.
