Deputy David Cullinane asked the Minister for Social Protection the number of staff employed by him and each Minister of State, including parliamentary assistants, secretarial assistants, special advisers, press secretaries and other positions, in tabular form; the pay rate for each assistant and the total cost; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I wish to advise the Deputy that the number of ministerial appointments in my Department is four. The following is a list of their roles and annual salaries.
