638. Deputy Micheál Martin asked the Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation her views on the possible EU-wide screening regime to keep foreign money out of sensitive sectors, as proposed by Chancellor Merkel recently. [39373/16]

I have brought this to the attention of IDA Ireland, the State Agency under my Department with responsibility for foreign direct investment. The Agency is not aware of any such proposal.
