240. Deputy Éamon Ó Cuív asked the Minister for Social Protection when his Department's current contract with An Post will expire; when it will be renewed by the Government; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [40823/16]
View answerThe Department’s existing cash payments contract with An Post began on 1 January 2014 for an initial two years with an option for extension for a further four years on a yearly basis, a total of six years. The contract was renewed in late 2015 for a further year covering 2016 and will be renewed again in the coming days for a further year covering 2017.
