1383. Deputy Jackie Cahill asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine the volume of milk imports into the Republic of Ireland for each of the years 2011 to 2016 and to date in 2017, in tabular form; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [41532/16]

The volume of imports of milk to the Republic of Ireland are outlined in a table for the most recent periods available.

For the year to October 2016, for which statistics are available from CSO, 432,586 tonnes of milk were imported, which represented an approximate decrease of 3.5% compared to the same period of January to October in the previous year. No figures are yet available for 2017.
