1701. Deputy Darragh O'Brien asked the Minister for Children and Youth Affairs the total GDP value of the early childhood programme, the child care education and training supports programme and the community child care subvention programme in 2016; and if she will make a statement on the matter. My Department spent some €291m on the childcare programmes to which the Deputy refers in 2016. I understand that GDP figures are not yet available from the Central Statistics Office for the 2016 year.
