My Department’s Culture Ireland programme promotes Irish arts worldwide by creating and supporting opportunities for professional Irish artists and companies to present and promote their work at strategic international festivals and venues. To be eligible for funding, a proposal must involve the presentation of the work of Irish artists to a wide public audience through performance or exhibition. In these circumstances, unfortunately, the trip referred to by the Deputy would not be deemed eligible for Culture Ireland funding. However, the Arts Council may be able to provide advice in relation to funding possibilities. Information on Arts Council funding can be found at http://www.artscouncil.ie/home/
