Deputy Charlie McConalogue asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine if he is considering reducing or removing fees of up to €8 on calf exports as suggested by farming organisations to reduce the administrative costs for trade in this sector; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The inspection fees on live exports are designed to cover the cost of the inspection process.  My Department will keep the fees under review in order to ensure that they do not negatively impact on the live export trade in calves.
