242. Deputy Barry Cowen asked the Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform the potential investment projects his Department put forward to the Department of Finance task force report for the European Fund for Strategic Investments. [4870/17]
View answerI take it that the Deputy is referring to the Special Task Force established in October 2014 to develop an EU project pipeline of viable investments of European significance across the public and private sectors. This Task Force was jointly chaired by the EIB and the European Commission and its work was completed in advance of the development of the legislative proposal for the European Fund for Strategic Investments (EFSI), subsequently launched in November of that year. No potential investment proposals were put forward to the Special Task Force by my Department.
