Deputy Ruth Coppinger asked the Minister for Housing, Planning, Community and Local Government the number of households that are currently on social housing transfer lists nationally; if he will provide a breakdown for each of the years 2013 to 2016, in tabular form; and if he will make a statement on the matter. My Department does not hold information on the number of households on local authorities' housing transfer lists. The management of these lists is a matter for individual housing authorities and the numbers fluctuate continually as, for example, households are granted transfers, in accordance with an authority’s allocation scheme, to take up other accommodation options.
