219. Deputy Róisín Shortall asked the Minister for Health further to Parliamentary Question No. 194 of 9 February 2017, the target date or dates for the introduction of new legislation. [7841/17]

Minister of State at the Department of Health

As stated in the previous question a considerable amount of preparatory work is needed to develop policy proposals in relation to a funding scheme and regulation of homecare. This includes a public consultation process which is scheduled for May of this year. It is not possible at this stage to give a precise target date for the introduction of new legislation but this is a key priority for me.
