Broughan asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Justice and Equality the total number of staff in the Irish Prison Service, IPS, including a breakdown of the location of their place of employment; the grade structure and remuneration of each grade, plus any additional allowances and benefits; the total number of personnel in the IPS headquarters in Longford; and if she will make a statement on the matter. I wish to advise the Deputy the information sought is voluminous in nature and only available in excel format which is not compatible with the current Parliamentary Questions Database system. I will forward the information to the Deputy via email presently.
