Deputy Catherine Murphy asked the Minister for Finance the amount of excise duty collected, by amount and fuel category, on light oil, heavy oil, liquified petroleum gas and substitute fuels in each of the past three years, in tabular form; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I am informed by Revenue that the amount of Excise Duty and Carbon Tax collected on Light Oil, Heavy Oil, Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) and Substitute Fuels for the years 2014 to 2016 is as outlined in the table that follows. Please note that 2016 data are provisional and may be subject to revision.
