296. Deputy Michael Healy-Rae asked the Minister for Social Protection the status of an application for a domiciliary care allowance for a person (details supplied); and if he will make a statement on the matter. [11275/17]
View answerAn application for domiciliary care allowance (DCA) was received in respect of this child on the 23rd November 2016. The applicant was notified on the 1st March 2017 that their domiciliary care allowance claim has been awarded from 1st December 2016. The first payment of the allowance, along with arrears due, will issue on the 21st March 2017.
I hope this clarifies the matter for the Deputy.
