Deputy Imelda Munster asked the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport his Department's rationale, implemented by the NTA on behalf of the Department, for not issuing licences to taxis that are over ten years old in view of the existing checks to ensure the roadworthiness of cars; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
