69. Deputy Jack Chambers asked the Minister for Finance the details of any payments made by his Department, its agencies or any bodies under his aegis to any broadcasters here in the years 2014, 2015 and 2016; the broadcaster to which the funds were provided; the reason for the payments; and if there are any reasons for payments to broadcasters in 2017. I understand that the Deputy is referring to payments specifically in respect of audio and visual broadcasting. Details of payments made by my Department are listed in the table provided.  Of the 18 bodies under the aegis of my Department, 15 have confirmed a nil response to the information sought. The Office of the Revenue Commissioners and the Credit Reviewer have provided details of payments to broadcasters and these are listed in the table. It was not possible for NTMA to provide the information sought in the time available and therefore I will make arrangements to provide the outstanding information in line with Standing Orders.

As indicated in my response, it was not possible for the National Treasury Management Agency (NTMA) to provide the information sought in the time available. The NTMA has since provided a Nil response in respect of the information sought and has also provided information in relation to the strategic Banking Corporation of Ireland (SBCI) as set out in the table.
