Deputy Clare Daly asked the Minister for Health the procedures in place overseeing the removal of medical card holders from patient lists upon death; the scrutiny that is undertaken to ensure that doctors are not being paid for deceased persons with particular reference to whether there is cross-referencing between death certificates and medical card lists; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
