283. Deputy Michael Healy-Rae asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine the status of wind blow grant aid for a person (detail supplied); and if he will make a statement on the matter. [18850/17]
View answerThe Reconstitution Scheme (Windblow) was established in 2016, to provide support for forest owners to replant forestry that had suffered damage during a succession of storms in the winter of 2013/2014, culminating in Storm Darwin on 12 February 2014. Only forestry planted after 1 December 1989 was eligible under this reconstitution scheme.
Since the forestry belonging to the person named was planted before 1 December, 1989, they will not be eligible for this Scheme. Applications are now closed and it will not be extended to capture forestry planted before this date.
