Deputy Clare Daly asked the Minister for Health the safeguards in place in order that general practitioners administering the maternity and infant care scheme cannot claim fees twice (details supplied); the complaints mechanism that exists should this happen to a person; the sanctions in place should it be discovered that a general practitioner is engaging in such a practice; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
