View answerThe former Chief Justice, John Murray, has completed the report of his Review of the Law on the Retention of and Access to Communications Data. I have forwarded a copy of the report to the Attorney General for her consideration, particularly against the background of recent findings by the Court of Justice of the European Union in this area of law. Following that I will bring the report to the Government with a view to its publication.
