159. Deputy Thomas Byrne asked the Minister for Education and Skills the amount of funding provided by his Department in 2017 for funding apprenticeships; and the number of apprenticeships that are currently being funded. [22748/17]
View answerAn allocation of €98.7m has been made available for apprenticeship training in 2017. Currently, there are 30 apprenticeship programmes available, details of which can be found at www.apprenticeship.ie. Subject to successful validation a further 10 programmes will commence during 2017.
