Deputy Catherine Murphy asked the Minister for Housing, Planning, Community and Local Government the number of houses that were purchased on the open market by local authorities for the provision of social housing by each local authority by county in each of the years 2015 and 2016 and to date in 2017; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
