Deputy Anne Rabbitte asked the Minister for Children and Youth Affairs if she is satisfied that there is equal treatment of private and State residential care services for foster children in view of recent changes to payment of overnight staff; and if she will make a statement on the matter. Tusla has advised me that all residential care services are operated to the same standard. Recent changes in the payment of overnight staff has had no impact on the continued equal treatment of private and State residential care services for foster children.
