Deputy Michael Fitzmaurice asked the Minister for Housing, Planning, Community and Local Government the cost in callout fees, hourly rates and wages for both full time and part time firefighters involved in gorse and forest fires for the period of 1 March 2017 to 19 May 2017; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The role of responding to incidents of fire is assigned to fire authorities in the Fire Services Act, 1981 to 2003. The information requested is not available in my Department but may be sought from individual fire authorities directly.
