218. Deputy Carol Nolan asked the Minister for Health the terms of reference for the review of ambulance services; the timeframe for the completion of the review; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [26145/17]
View answerI understand the review referred to by the Deputy is the review of public and private ambulance service provision which has been commissioned by the HSE. The purpose of this review is to assess the costs of both public and private ambulance services, ascertain the appropriate use of those services, and define clearly the parameters for use of public and private providers.
I have asked the HSE to respond directly to the Deputy with any further information which might be available.
