Deputy Pearse Doherty asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine the details of recent studies, surveys and assessments conducted by his department at a location (details supplied) in County Donegal; the reason and purpose for such activities that have been carried out; and if he will make a statement on the matter. My Department has not conducted any recent specific studies, surveys or assessments in relation to the area referred to by the Deputy. It would be normal for staff of my Department’s Marine Engineering Division and/or one of my Department’s marine agencies to visit such areas as part of normal duties.
