Deputy Catherine Martin asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine the number of farmers with their primary residence here who also farm land in Northern Ireland; and the number of farmers with their primary residence in Northern Ireland who also farm land here; and if he will make a statement on the matter. There are 15 applicants who submitted a 2017 Basic Payment Scheme application to my Department with an address here and who have claimed land in Northern Ireland.  There are 297 herdowners who submitted a 2017 Basic Payment Scheme application with an address in Northern Ireland and who have claimed land here.
