1049. Deputy Robert Troy asked the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport his plans to name Dublin Airport after former Taoiseach, Seán Lemass, in recognition of the outstanding contribution he made to economic development of Ireland. [34110/17]
View answerI understand that the suggestion to rename Dublin Airport as Seán Lemass Airport has arisen a number of times in the past and that previous Ministers decided against such a change. I concur with my predecessors and can confirm that I have no plans currently to change the name of the principal gateway airport to Ireland.
