View answerI refer the Deputy to my post reply dated 19 July 2017 to Parliamentary Question No. 877 of 20 June 2017. The Deputy will be aware that I have been advised by the Garda authorities that, currently, only data in respect of the number of positive preliminary drug tests performed at Mandatory Intoxicant Testing checkpoints can be provided. Furthermore, the only positive results, to date, have been recorded in the Dublin Metropolitan Region. The following Garda table (included in post reply) indicates the number of positive preliminary drug tests recorded since the introduction of testing in 2017.
