1721. Deputy Éamon Ó Cuív asked the Minister for Rural and Community Development the amount of money paid by his Department for town and village renewal and under the CLÁR programme. respectively, by county, towards the close of 2016 for work to be done in 2017; the amount of expenditure that has been incurred to date in each county in respect of the money allocated; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Table 1 provides details of the funding allocated to each Local Authority and the most up to date expenditure information available in respect of the 2016 Town and Village Renewal Scheme and the 2016 CLÁR Programme. 

My Department is keeping expenditure on these programmes under constant review to ensure that all money spent is in accordance with the project proposals and in line with the Public Spending Code.

My officials are currently in the process of compiling an updated expenditure outturn to 31 August, in consultation with the Local Authorities.
