1880. Deputy Michael Healy-Rae asked the Minister for Employment Affairs and Social Protection the status of a carer's allowance application by a person (details supplied); and if she will make a statement on the matter. [38267/17]
View answerThe person concerned is in receipt of carer's allowance (CA) for one care recipient since 23 November 2006. My Department received an application for CA for a second care recipient on the 12 July 2017. The application is currently being examined and once completed, the person concerned will be notified directly of the outcome.
I hope this clarifies the matter for the Deputy.
