The following deferred reply was received under Standing Order 42A:
I refer to the above written parliamentary question (ref: 39142/17) of 20 September and my Department’s response of 1 November 2017 in which the total spent on external consultancy contracts was €865,283.
A further payment which issued during the relevant timeframe has come to my attention and brings the new total to €866,575. Included in this figure were contracts where expenditure was incurred for professional advice provided to enable the Department to
carry out a body of work.
