87. Deputy Róisín Shortall asked the Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform the number of occasions on which he has been lobbied in respect of the Public Health (Alcohol) Bill since March 2016; the persons he has met; the dates of these meetings; the details of the basis of the lobbying; his views on the issues raised; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Since March 2016, there have been seven Representations received from a number of organisations regarding the Public Health (Alcohol) Bill, as listed below:

- Alcohol Health Alliance Ireland;

- Alcohol Beverage Federation of Ireland;

- Responsible Retailing of Alcohol in Ireland, RRAI - three REPS received;

- Galway Health Cities Alcohol Forum;

- IBEC.

This correspondence was dealt with at official level. 

My Special Adviser has also received representations on this issue.

I have not attended any meetings regarding the Public Health (Alcohol) Bill. I am informed that my predecessor did not attend any such meetings in the timeframe indicated.
