175. Deputy Willie Penrose asked the Minister for Employment Affairs and Social Protection the reason a person (details supplied) who is in receipt of disability allowance has been refused fuel allowance; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [43311/17]
View answerFuel allowance is a means tested payment, payable to people who either live alone or only with certain other qualified people. Based on the information provided to the department, this lady does not qualify for the allowance as her household consists of people who are not in a qualifying category.
