Deputy Clare Daly asked the Minister for Housing, Planning and Local Government if his Department received a request from Sligo County Council in 2017 to increase staffing levels in the council's housing section; the response of his Department; and if he will make a statement on the matter. View answerUnder section 159 of the Local Government Act 2001, each Chief Executive is responsible for staffing and organisational arrangements necessary for carrying out the functions of the local authorities for which he or she is responsible.
My Department has not received any staffing applications from Sligo County Council in 2017 to increase staffing levels in the Council's Housing Section.
